Digital Artwork Commissions
I also create digital portraits of families, children, and animals. These pieces offer wonderful flexibility with composition and style, while still capturing personality and warmth.
Digital portrait commissions are hand-drawn on my iPad, combining a contemporary approach with traditional drawing techniques. This medium allows for flexibility while maintaining a hand-crafted and expressive finish.

1. Initial Commitment & Deposit
As with all my commissions, once we’ve agreed on the composition, style, and final price, I take a 50% deposit before beginning the artwork. The remaining balance is paid upon completion.

2. Reference Photographs
Because digital portraits rely entirely on photographic reference, I will need a high-quality photo (or several) to work from. Clear, well-lit images—especially in natural light—help ensure an accurate likeness and expressive final piece.
If you are unsure which photos will work best, I’m happy to help select the strongest reference image.

3. Composition & Planning
After choosing the reference and discussing your preferred composition, colours, and style, I begin working on the portrait. Digital artwork allows for single or multiple subjects, and can be tailored to the atmosphere you want to achieve.

4. Creating the Digital Portrait
Depending on my workload and the complexity of the composition, digital portraits generally take 1–2 weeks to complete. I take the same level of care as with traditional media, building detail and expression until the artwork feels complete and true.

5. Completion & Final Files
Once the portrait is finished, the remaining balance becomes due. You will then receive a high-resolution digital file, suitable for printing or sharing. If you would like prints or additional formats, I can discuss available options.
